For the third consecutive year, Epro Telecom is participating in the annual Halloween Charity Parade as silver sponsor in support of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund. This annual event in its fifth year has been bringing numerous corporations and members of the community together to raise funds for Hong Kong Cancer Fund and to highlight the role of the Fund in providing support to those touched by cancer.
According to the principal sponsor of this event, last year in 2010 the event has raised HK$ 1.6 million for Tuen Mun Hospital Cancer Patient Resource Centre’s (CPRC) renovation and expansion project to help enhance its environment and to meet the increasing needs of those who are touched by cancer. For this year, although the Halloween Parade was cancelled due to the extended occupation of the Ground Plaza of HSBC Main Building, the fund raiser aimed to raise HK$ 1.7 million to support, (i) the revamp and refurbishment of the Cancer Patient Resource Centre and Oncology Ward in Queen Elizabeth Hospital and (ii) the free and on-going cancer support services of CancerLink Tin Shui Wai.
Chief Executive Officer, Ms Carol Chang expressed, ‘We are pleased to ride on this Halloween charity event to show our empathy and support to those unfortunates through our continual sponsorship to the Cancer Fund.’ |
