This is the fourth consecutive year of Epro’s “Tele-Care Program" organized by our Volunteer Team and the Hong Kong Mental Health Association (HKMHA). The objective of the program is to build up communication and friendship between our volunteers and members of HKMHA with intellectual disabilities or mental impairment through monthly telephone calls in order to share our caring and attention.
With the help of Ms. Poon, the social worker, a kick-off gathering was arranged at their workshop building in May which offered a face-to-face opportunity for all to meet. Games were played to help to break the ice and let everyone to get to know each other better, as some members like to chat, some are more reserved and some are eager to express themselves.
At the end of the gathering, our volunteers gave out rice dumplings with handwritten greeting cards to each student member wishing them a happy Dragon Boat Festival and good health!
